The irony about it, is that it’s while they are out of your hand and not being lifted that the differences manifest themselves.

What They Do They Do Quite Well

bowflex_19So, is it really worth paying the extra money for SelectTechs, when standard dumbbells do the exact same job? That in fact is for you to decide but what Bowflex Dumbbells Review do that is different, they do quite well. To begin with, one compact set of SelectTechs replaces several sets of loose standard Dumbbells, which is good if you are particular about the space that you work out in.

A More Total Workout
Also, as far as speed, as it pertains to switching weights on your dumbbells while doing your reps, there is simply no comparison. In fact, SelectTech dumbbells bring a new element to dumbbell lifting that was before completely unavailable. That is that with SelecTechs you can quickly adjust down the weight as your reps progress, to account and adjust for muscle fatigue, resulting in a more “total” workout. Far More Portable

Bowflex Dumbbells with Stand
If it matters to you at all SelectTechs are far more portable too. Move them around your home or carry them to your car if you want, because it’s all one compact contained unit. Beyond that, other than the fact that they are in fact quite attractive to look at with their rubber coated geometric form, they are in the end just dumbbells, so the actual results that you achieve with them depends entirely on the effort you put in.

My Recent Works

Some of my recent works include a commission for the Louisiana State University Alumni Center; a stereographic mural for the Children’s Museum of Anaheim; an 84 ft. tall mural covering the side of a building in downtown Ames, Iowa; and an exhibit sponsored by the New Orleans Mardi Gras Team.

When people ask me why I first began creating murals, the answer is not necessarily what one might expect. While I have always been an artist, and have loved painting and sketching my entire life; I was also a surveyor for ten years, working with cities to draw and mark out the lines for their sidewalks, streets, buildings, and more.

My job required me to travel around the U.S., and visit many different towns and cities, and get to know those places; the buildings, the design of the town itself; the people. And what I noticed as I went was that each place had its own history, and each place was beautiful in its own way. That the design and layout of an entire city or town could be tracked and it spoke a lot about that people, their history, and their lives.

That’s when I decided to start combining my artistic talents with my eye for cityscapes and town layouts. And over 20 years later, I have never regretted a moment.

Everything You Need to Know About the Unique Coloring of Tanzanite Engagement Rings

So you’re considering purchasing a tanzanite engagement ring, and you want to do your homework first before you buy. Smart shopper! In this post, I hope to provide you with everything you need to know about the unique coloring of tanzanite engagement rings, so that you can decide whether buying a tanzanite engagement ring is the right choice for you (and your loved one!).

What Color Is Tanzanite?

You may have heard that tanzanite is a relatively inexpensive alternative to sapphire—which historically was true. Tanzanite Rings HQ explains that it is a relatively new gemstone known for its exquisite shades of blue and purple coloring.

So what color is tanzanite? The official coloring of tanzanite, according to the Gem Identification Book that gemologists reference, tanzanite is a trichroic strong gemstone that displays these colors seen: “blue/purplish or reddish/green or yellow; or blue/lighter blue/purplish or reddish [Note: the presence of green or yellow may indicate natural color.]”

So let’s dissect that statement for all us non-gemologists.

First, the definition of trichroic – this adjective means that a crystal appears with different colors when viewed along the three crystallographic directions. Meaning that in its natural state, tanzanite can exhibit colors of: blue, yellow, and reddish purple.

However, the tanzanite that you see set into engagement rings and jewelry is heat-treated tanzanite, which means that the stone has gone through treatment to transform it from its natural state (where it is often yellowish brown, reddish brown, or greenish yellow) to the popular and well-known intense hues of blue and purple.

So yes, that means the question of “what color is tanzanite” is more complicated than one might think. Natural tanzanite is one color, while heat-treated tanzanite is another. But for the average jewelry purchaser looking to buy a tanzanite engagement ring or tanzanite diamond earrings, the easiest answer to this question is:

Tanzanite is a bluish purple stone. The deeper and more intense the color, the higher quality the stone.

If you do happen to see greenish or yellow tanzanite, this means that the stone has not gone through heat treatment – and these stones are very rare outside Tanzania, and not worth as much as their treated and polished cousins.

So you’re looking at blue/purple/indigo tanzanite engagement rings and notice that the color even still shifts in the light – that is because under certain lighting conditions, the blue tones of the stone will be more apparent, while under other light conditions, the purple hues will stand out more. This is one of the beautiful, amazing properties of tanzanite, and why a tanzanite engagement ring can be a wonderful choice for someone who wants a timeless, never boring option for an engagement ring.
